Academic Clinical Fellowships

This is a pump-priming scheme to support researchers at an early stage in their careers. It's open to NIHR Academic Clinical Fellows at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Barts Health NHS Trust.

Message about COVID-19

With Barts Health NHS Trust on the front line of the response to the Covid-19 outbreak, and the School of Medicine and Dentistry working to Government advice in order to limit the spread of the virus, we appreciate that our grant holders, and those applying for funding, will be concerned by the impact of current situation on their projects.

We wish to reassure you that project delays because of the outbreak will have no bearing on your current Barts Charity funding. And we would like every member of our grants community to know that we will be supporting you as closely as possible while ensuring the utmost flexibility in how we deal with individual cases.

In addition, and in recognition of tireless efforts in exceptional circumstances, we have agreed with the Barts Health NHS Trust Executive to make funds available to support morale boosting and wellbeing.

We will be working with a central co-ordinator within each hospital who will help us manage these requests. For further details please contact grants@bartscharity.org.uk
