Foodie fundraising at The Royal London Hospital

05 Feb 2019

Later this month, the Children’s Anorectal Physiology Service (CAPS) at The Royal London Hospital will be holding an exciting event to raise money and awareness for gut health.

CAPS opened in 2016 and has seen about 200 children with bowel symptoms of chronic constipation and soiling.  This has both a physical and psychological impact on children and their families.  It is an embarrassing, distressing and difficult condition to live with.

The CAPS team are holding fundraising day for children and their families on Thursday 21st February focusing on good eating habits, which are vital for a healthy gut.

Money raised will help the passionate team continue to offer their services and buy new equipment like this specialist ultrasound machine.

The event will include:

  • A live cookery session and Q&A with Dr Rupy Aujla, aka the Doctor’s Kitchen
  • Stalls from Oatly and Made in Hackney
  • Games and prizes for children

Guests will also be able to have fun in a photo booth provided by All Occasions Photo Booths.

Please email Eleni Athanasakos for more details.
