World renowned artists raise money through poster prize draw

21 Apr 2020

Dazed Media has called on its community of artists including Vivienne Westwood and Wolfgang Tillmans to create artworks in support of our emergency COVID-19 campaign.

Dazed & Confused magazine was launched in 1991 as an alternative style and culture magazine, and has now grown into publishing powerhouse Dazed Media.

As part of a new #AloneTogether campaign, Dazed Media has launched a poster project that communicates the response to COVID-19 and the impact it’s had on our lives.  The title has reached out to well-known names in their creative community to create unique posters that will be entered into a public prize draw.

Names from Dazed’s community of artists who have designed posters include Vivienne Westwood, Wolfgang Tillmans, Katharine Hamnett, Jake and Dinos Chapman, 3D from Massive Attack, Fai Khadra and others.

In order to win one of the unique posters, participants can go online and make a donation to Barts Charity. They will then be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a 1/1 limited edition A3 signed poster from one of the participating artists. Take a look at the artworks and enter the prize draw here.

Annabelle Phillips who led the initiative, says: “At this moment in time, it’s more important than ever that we use our platforms as a means of service. With this project, we wanted to do exactly that. Barts is a charity very close to my heart. Having recently treated a friend in her fight against cancer, I have seen firsthand the amazing work they do. It’s a privilege to partner with them and to support the incredible service their NHS staff provides across hospitals in East London, during this pandemic and beyond. I’d also like to thank all of the artists involved for contributing their work and time towards this cause.”

Dazed is also asking their audience to create their own poster and will spotlight the best entries on Instagram Stories.

The prize draw is open via Givergy between Tuesday 21st April at 10am and Tuesday 5th May 10am with 100% of the proceeds being donated to our emergency COVID-19 appeal.

Please support our appeal.
