Your application will be read by a range of people including experts in the field as well as individuals who may not know the context of your proposal in detail. Please write the project outline with this in mind.

1. The need for this project
Describe the background to the proposal and how the need for intervention in this area has arisen. In this section, provide justification for the proposed work, including details of any preliminary activities carried out and around the current state of the field.
2. Key objectives
Clearly state what the project aims to achieve.
3. Work plan
Outline how you will achieve your aims/objectives. This should include the approach you will take, key activities and estimated timelines.
4. Expected outcomes and benefits
Outline the key outcomes that are expected to arise from this work and how this will positively impact on the care and/or experience of Barts Health patients and/or communities served by Barts Health.
Outline the measurements you will use to evaluate the success of the project, including plans to collect baseline data if relevant.
Give details of the number of individuals who are expected to benefit from this work (within Barts Health and/or nationally) and describe this population in terms of age, demographics, etc.
5. Maintainability
Provide details of how this proposal might be introduced on a permanent basis or will lead to long-lasting impact. We understand that these actions might be completed by another team.
