Secret Santa Appeal - Barts Charity

Bring festive joy to a child in hospital this Christmas

With a Secret Santa gift you can ensure no child is forgotten this festive season.

How you can help patients in hospital

At Barts Charity, we’re proud to support the hospitals within the Barts Health NHS Trust and the exceptional care they provide for patients like Jayden. We also know that spending the holidays in the hospital can feel isolating, especially for those unable to be with their loved ones on Christmas Day.

This festive season, you can be a Secret Santa by donating to Barts Charity. Your contribution will provide a thoughtful gift to a patient spending Christmas in the hospital.

By becoming a Secret Santa, you can bring festive magic to a child on Christmas day.

Bringing Joy to Young Patients Like Jayden

At just six weeks old, baby Jayden was admitted to the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at The Royal London Hospital, where he stayed for ten days leading up to Christmas.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the staff, Jayden made a full recovery and was able to go home on Christmas Eve. His family was overjoyed to have him back for the holidays, but many children won’t be able to celebrate at home this year.

Jayden’s mother, Josephine, remains incredibly grateful for the hospital team’s dedication and compassion: “The support and the team that looked after Jayden were absolutely phenomenal. They were amazing in every way.

It’s so important to help Barts Charity make Christmas feel as normal as possible for children in hospital. Opening a gift or having someone special visit them can make a world of difference in their recovery journey.”

"There will be lots of families spending Christmas in hospital. It's a special time for families, despite religion, it's not a religious thing at all. It's children receiving gifts. It would be a perfect gesture for any child of any religion, any background, to receive a gift whilst in hospital."
